Butaleja Woman Mp congratulates newly elected LC1s.

The District Woman Member of Parliament(DWMP), Sarah Annet Logose, has congratulated the newly elected Local council One(LC1s) upon their success, challenging them to embrace teamwork for development.
Sarah, in an interview, reasoned that elections are characterised by hiccups, worthy celebrating, but she challenged the LC1s to work hand in hand with the lower and upper local government for development
“I congratulate all the LC1s across Butaleja district upon their success. Kindly, no man is an island. Work hand in hand with the Parish, sub county, constituency, and district leadership for development, “Logose said.
The woman Mp, further called for transparency, discouraging all attempts of corruption, and wished for non segregative consideration to those applying for the government programs such as: Parish Development Model, Emyooga, Grow Fund and Youth Livelihood Fund; to mention.
Logose, called for reconciliation, singing the slogan of “United we stand, Disunited we fall.”
Her information comes amidst celebrations by a number of successful candidates.
Amos Mubalya, won the race in Bunghoma A Busaba sub county, Gertrude Namwima, won in Namubi, Butaleja Town Council, Michael Hyeroba, for Bugisa cell in Busaba town council, Aggrey Wamangge, for Kisuubi village in Himutu sub county, and Disson Hamba, of Triangle cell in Busaba town council, are some of the successful contestants; vowing to effect unity, reconciliation, and balanced resources distribution-to mention.
Meanwhile, John Paul Osinde, the Butaleja district returning officer, said that he has numerous Pettitions in his office but can only handle only those from villages where there wasn’t an official declaration of the Winners
However, there shall be re elections in nine villages across the Butaleja district on Saturday, according to Osinde.
He emphasised that there were gross irregularities in such villages, but he guaranteed that elections shall be based on the voters’ Registers.
