The Member of Parliament for West Budama North East, Owere Richard Machika, has today fulfilled his pledge by donating 500kgs of posho and beans to five primary schools that produced first grades in the recently released 2025 PLE results ahead of their final exams

Machika had earlier in February, while awarding mattresses and other scholastic materials to best-performing pupils, promised to support schools that excel in PLE with food items to motivate both learners and teachers.

The donation is aimed at providing meals to the primary seven candidates so that they can concentrate during their final examinations

The five beneficiary schools include Katandi Primary School, Nawire Primary School,Pamadolo Primary School, Atapara Primary School and Namwendia Primary School

Machika, who was represented by his Constituency Coordinator Ochwo Valiriano, says the donation is aimed at motivating learners and improving the overall academic performance of West Budama North East Constituency.

He further notes that the initiative does not only motivate the learners but also encourages teachers to teach extensively.

David Okello the Headteacher of Katandi Primary School thanked Machika for fulfilling his pledge, noting that the initiative is a big motivation for both teachers and learners.

Sarah Apio a pupil at Pamadolo Primary School with joy thanked the MP for the donation and promised to work hard to maintain the school’s name in the project.
