Tororo District Woman Member of Parliament, Hon. Angella Akoth, has donated mathematical sets and other scholastic materials to Primary Seven candidates ahead of the forthcoming Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).

The donation was made today at Peipei Primary School and Makawari Primary School in Tororo District as part of efforts to support learners and ensure they are adequately prepared for their examinations.

Speaking during the handover, Nichols Ofwono, who represented Hon. Akoth, urged the candidates to remain disciplined throughout the examination period and beyond. He cautioned them against examination malpractice, encouraging them to rely on their knowledge and hard work.

The Headteacher of Makawari Primary School, Rose Omal, applauded the legislator for the timely intervention, revealing that several learners had been sent home to purchase mathematical sets, which are essential examination requirements.

Omal noted that the provision of the materials had eased the burden on parents and restored confidence among the candidates ahead of the national examinations.

She added that the school was now optimistic about the learners’ performance, with the necessary examination materials in place.

At Peipei Primary School, Josephine Adikini, one of the beneficiaries, thanked Hon. Akoth for the support and pledged to work hard and excel in the forthcoming examinations.

The donation forms part of Hon. Akoth’s continued efforts to support education in Tororo District, with a focus on ensuring that no learner misses an examination or faces unnecessary challenges due to a lack of basic scholastic materials.
