Tororo Police FC Crowned Tororo DFA 5th Division Champions As Four Teams Book Play off Spots.

Tororo Police FC have been crowned champions of the Tororo District Football Association (DFA) 5th Division League 2025/26 after a thrilling season that concluded on Friday, with the law enforcers finishing top of the standings despite suffering defeat on the final day.
Tororo Police fell 1-0 to Malaba Tigers FC at St. Peter’s College Tororo Grounds, but their superior points tally accumulated over the course of the campaign ensured they lifted the championship trophy.
The champions finished with 29 points from 12 matches, one point ahead of second-placed Malaba Tigers FC, who ended the season on 28 points.
The title race remained alive until the final whistle of the season, with Malaba Tigers pushing the champions all the way. However, Tororo Police’s consistency throughout the campaign, which saw them register nine victories, two draws and just one defeat, proved enough to secure the district crown.
Elsewhere, Tanna FC were awarded a 3-0 walkover victory over Panoah FC, bringing the curtain down on another competitive season of district football.

With the season now concluded, the four clubs have officially secured qualification for the Bukedi Province Zonal Mini Play-offs, where they will battle for promotion to the Bukedi Province League.

The mini play-offs, which will feature top clubs from the seven districts of the Bukedi sub-region, are scheduled to kick off on 20th June 2026, with Tororo DFA confirmed as the host district.
The championship trophy and medals were presented during a ceremony attended by key football administrators. The event was presided over by Mr. Jamal Ngobi, the FUFA National Delegate representing the Eastern Region, alongside Bukedi Province FA Chairperson Mr. Hussain Mwangu and members of the provincial executive committee.
Also in attendance were the Tororo DFA Chief Executive Officer and members of the district executive, who congratulated Tororo Police FC on their achievement and applauded all participating clubs for contributing to a successful season.
As celebrations begin for Tororo Police FC, attention now shifts to the Bukedi Zonal Mini Play-offs, where the district’s best teams will be seeking to carry Tororo’s flag high and earn promotion to the Bukedi Province League for the 2026/27 season.
For Tororo Police FC, the league title is secured, but the journey towards greater provincial success has only just begun.
