Indian Elected Senior Quarters Village Secretary for Finance in Tororo Municipality.

Residents of Senior Quarters Village in Tororo Municipality have elected Varsani Vinod Jadva, a Ugandan of idian decent as the village’s new Secretary for Finance.

The newly elected Village Chairperson, Julius Omalla, said Vinod’s election was based on his willingness to serve the community and the support he received from residents during the electoral process.

Speaking after the elections, Omalla explained that Vinod is a resident of Senior Quarters Village and had officially registered to contest for the position.

He emphasised that the election was conducted transparently and that residents were consulted and unanimously endorsed Vinod for the position.

Omalla also revealed that Vinod was asked whether he was ready to take up the responsibility, and he accepted the role willingly.

Vinod Jadva will now serve as Secretary for Finance on the Senior Quarters Village committee.

The election comes at a time when local leaders are being encouraged to promote inclusiveness, unity, and effective service delivery at the grassroots level.

Chairperson Omalla said the newly elected committee is committed to working together for the development and progress of Senior Quarters Village.
