Isaac Orego Calls for Peace and Unity Ahead of 2026 Elections in New Year Message.

Soroti City — Soroti City East National Resistance Movement (NRM) Member of Parliament candidate, Isaac calls for peace, unity, and hard work in New Year message to Soroti City east and Teso sub region

 Orego urged residents to celebrate peacefully and avoid conflict , “Let us celebrate peacefully and not fight one another. What happened in 2025 should guide us to work harder, improve, and take better care of ourselves in 2026,” Orego said.

Orego thanked residents for what he described as overwhelming support throughout 2025 and wished the people of Soroti City East a peaceful electoral period and a prosperous 2026, calling on voters to turn up in large numbers on January 15, 2026, to participate in the elections.

Orego encouraged residents to vote for him as a member of Parliament for Soroti City East and to support President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and all NRM flag bearers.

According to Orego, 2026 will be a critical year for the constituency and the country at large. He emphasized the importance of citizens exercising their democratic rights peacefully and responsibly.

“People should vote and participate peacefully. Democracy works best when citizens are calm, informed, and united,” he said.

On his campaigns,  Orego pledged to roll out people-centered initiatives aimed at addressing community challenges and transforming livelihoods across Soroti City East. He said his leadership vision focuses on practical solutions for both urban and peri-urban communities.

His agenda is anchored in economic empowerment, wealth creation, and inclusive development. Through engagements across various wards, Orego has consistently emphasized the need to move households into the money economy and position Soroti City East as a model constituency for economic growth.

He said youth Skilling youth for employment and self-reliance, empowering women’s groups with seed capital, supporting SACCOs through low-interest loans, and complementing existing government programs in  soroti city east will be transformed in a short time.

As a professional accountant, he also pledged to closely track the economic growth of Soroti City East by promoting accurate data collection and holding technical city staff accountable as part of his oversight role.
