Butaleja District Celebrates PLE Success as Schools Register Strong Performance.

Butaleja District, — Residents of Butaleja District on Friday evening joined other Ugandans across the country in celebrating the release of the 2025 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results, with several schools posting impressive performances.
Headteachers who spoke to journalists expressed satisfaction with the outcomes, noting that English Language was the best-performed subject, while Social Studies registered the weakest performance across most schools.
According to results compiled so far, Dube Rock Primary School emerged among the top performers after scoring 59 first grades, including three pupils with aggregate five. Maron Learning Centre, Busolwe followed with 49 first grades, while Nampologoma Primary School registered 41.

Other schools recorded the following results: St. Kizito Nursery and Primary School, Kuwait (15), Mango Groove Junior School (9), Busolwe Township Primary School (5), Busolwe Junior Academy (4), Sure Care Leresi (4), and Butaleja Winners Nursery and Primary School (3).
School directors and headteachers largely attributed the strong performance to teamwork among staff, effective motivation of teachers, and timely completion of the syllabus.
Meanwhile, Ivan Kaibo, the director of Mango Groove Junior School, urged fellow school administrators to prioritize employing qualified and professional teachers to sustain good academic outcomes.
On his part, Mujib Pande, director of Busolwe Junior Academy, appealed to parents to avoid transferring learners in candidate classes, noting that stability plays a key role in examination success.
Overall, education stakeholders in the district described the results as encouraging and a positive indicator of continued improvement in primary education standards.
