His Royal Highness Won Ateker Papa me Kumam Raphael Otaya has successfully obtained 12 State House scholarships for Kumam students, enabling them to study science-based courses at different universities across Uganda.
This achievement comes after strategic engagements he held last year with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, focusing on increasing opportunities for science education among his people.
The initiative is anticipated to boost skilled human resources and support development in the region.
The selected students and their respective programmes are:
Apyaka Gloria – Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, Gulu University.
Elubu Micheal – Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, Kampala International University
Ewoku Noah – Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, Kampala International University.
Ogol Jonathan – Bachelor of Environmental Engineering, Kyambogo University
Odiaka Solomon – Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, Kabale University
Ebwalu Valen Silas – Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, Soroti University
Atai Faith Acol – Bachelor of Science in Public Health, Islamic University in Uganda.
Etotu Keseron – Bachelor of Science in Biosystems Engineering, Gulu University
Ochen Linns – Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, Kabale University.
Angweco Noel – Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, Kampala International University
Eyoko Emmanuel – Bachelor of Pharmacy, Busitema University.
Ocana Nicholas – Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Kampala International University
The scholarships are being managed through the office of His Royal Highness, aiming to develop a pool of qualified professionals who will play a key role in advancing the growth and progress of the Kumam community.
