The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has appointed Sheba Ampaire Ronah as its new Deputy Chief Executive Officer, in a move aimed at strengthening the federation’s top management structure.

In a statement released on its official website, FUFA said the appointment—effective April 1—is part of ongoing institutional reforms designed to enhance professional governance and improve service delivery across Ugandan football.

Ampaire brings a strong blend of legal expertise and football administration experience. Since joining FUFA in 2021 as a legal officer, she has played a central role in strengthening the federation’s judicial processes, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and guiding operations within the regulatory frameworks of international football bodies.

FUFA credited her contributions with improving integrity, consistency, and accountability, particularly in legal and disciplinary matters.

“Sheba assumes the role with a strong background in legal practice and football administration, bringing a blend of regulatory expertise and strategic leadership to the FUFA Secretariat,” the federation said. “Her appointment reinforces FUFA’s commitment to professional governance and efficient service delivery across all areas of the game.”

In her new position, Ampaire will deputize Edgar Watson, supporting oversight of administrative and operational functions, including member relations, governance structures, and organisational development.

FUFA noted that her leadership is expected to contribute significantly to its broader vision of transforming Ugandan football into a professionally managed and commercially sustainable sector.

Ampaire holds a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Laws degree, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice. She has also undertaken specialised training in football administration, including FIFA’s Professional Club Management Certification and the FAMACO Level Three programme.

The federation expressed confidence that her experience and leadership will help advance its strategic objectives and raise football management standards in Uganda.
