NOVO Enterprises Donates to Tororo Hospital ,Muslims, and Vulnerable Children.

Novo Enterprises Limited has made a series of donations to Tororo General Hospital, the vulnerable children at Smile Africa, Christian Foundation for Open Development, and the needy fasting Muslim families, all in Tororo Municipality.
The donation worth approximately 30 million shilling was delivered on Wednesday to these organizations by the staff of Novo Enterprises Limited.
A total of 150 mattresses meant for both adults and children valued at 15 million shillings was delivered to Tororo General hospital, 8 bags of posho,4 bags of rice, 4 bags of beans, 1 bag of sugar, 2 boxes of cooking oil to Smile Africa Children’s home worth about 2.6 million shillings and 4 bags of posho,2 bags of rice, 2 bags of beans, 1 bag of sugar and I box of cooking oil to Christian Foundation for Open Development worth 1.3 million shillings respectively.

While a total of 250 needy Muslim families in Tororo Municipality fasting the holy month of Ramadan have received food supplements worth about 10 million shillings to support them through the fasting period.
Each beneficiary is meant to take home a package containing rice (5kg), posho (5kg), beans (5kg), sugar (5kg) cooking oil (2ltr) and dates 250 grams.
According to Nish and Nick, the grandchildren of the late Mwalimu Doshi, the donation made is an annual gesture in memory of their late family members.
“Every year as a family, we make donations in various ways to remember our fallen family members. It’s a gesture that we feel is the only thing that we can do to the community in memory of our late grandpa, grandma and all our beloved family members.
As a family of the late Mwalimu Doshi, we are humbled and indeed would love to appreciate you all and the members of the community for your continued support to us” said Nish and Nick respectively.

Proscovia Apio, Tororo General Hospital Senior Administrator said she was humbled by the huge donation of mattresses from Novo enterprises limited saying it will go a long way to provide comfort to the adults and children admitted at the facility while undergoing treatment.
Apio said the donation will not only help Tororo district but the entire Uganda because the facility receives patients from all over including the neighboring districts of Busia, Manafwa, Namisindwa, Butaleja and as far as Western Kenya.
“ As a facility, we look forward to putting the donated mattresses into proper use so as to impact on the lives of our patients. We shall continue to remember and pray for the late Doshi family for such a positive gesture towards humanity”, Apio emphasized.
Akello Magdalene, a 70 year old patient attendant found at the children’s ward at Tororo hospital, was extremely excited with the donation.
Speaking in her native Jopadhola, she stressed that the donation would help fix the existing problem of some patients sleeping on the hospital floor due to a shortage of mattresses.
Pastor Ruth Kahawa, the founder and executive director of Smile, expressed gratitude to NOVO, saying it’s not the first time Novo enterprise limited is donating to help the most vulnerable children at her facility.
“it’s rare to find many who help the poorest of the poorest. This is the reason I am thankful to God and the Novo family.
They have continued to support the needy in our facility and society as a whole. May the good lord continue to bless their works and family” Pastor Ruth prayed.
Erick Sabiti, the Executive Director of Christian Foundation for Open Development, described the donation which is not the first of its kind as a powerful gesture that will boost the nutrition of the vulnerable children in his center.
