The Shalom Men’s Council Foundation has strongly condemned the killing of 44-year-old Man Omaido Moses, describing the incident as shocking and a grim reminder of the rising cases of violence against men.
In a statement released on Friday, Pascal Amuriat, the spokesperson Shalom Men’s Council Foundation, expressed outrage over the alleged murder, reported at Kireka Police Station under reference CRB 115/2026.
Moses is said to have been killed by his current girlfriend, Agadi Oliver, with police also investigating the possible involvement of his former partner, Aliya.
“This tragic incident highlights the growing but often ignored reality that men, too, are victims of domestic violence,” the foundation said.
The organization extended its condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased, calling the act senseless and unacceptable.
It further emphasized the need for society to confront stereotypes that portray men only as perpetrators, noting that such assumptions contribute to silence around male victims of abuse.
Under its campaign message, “Stop Killing Men in the Name of Love,” the shalom Men’s Council foundation called on government agencies, civil society organizations, and community leaders to take urgent steps to address domestic violence in all its forms.
Police have confirmed that investigations into the incident are ongoing, with authorities working to establish the full circumstances surrounding Moses’ death.
The killing has sparked concern among residents in Kireka and beyond, with many calling for justice and greater awareness about the dynamics of toxic relationships.
Advocates argue that the case should serve as a wake-up call for more inclusive efforts to combat domestic violence and promote healthy, respectful relationships across society.
