Security agencies in the Amuria District have ramped up operations targeting suspected criminals amid growing concerns over public safety.

Security sources indicate that some of the suspects are attempting to flee the district to evade arrest as enforcement efforts intensify.

The ongoing operations are focused on individuals allegedly involved in waylaying, assaulting, and robbing members of the public.

Law enforcement officers are also targeting those found in possession of dangerous weapons and other harmful objects.

According to intelligence reports, a number of the suspects are believed to be linked to the use and distribution of marijuana and other illicit drugs, which authorities say have contributed to rising criminal activity in the area.

Local leaders have urged residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies. Members of the public are encouraged to report any suspicious individuals or activities to their nearest GISO (Gombolola Internal Security Officer) or contact the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) directly via 0782332959.

Officials emphasize that community involvement will be critical in restoring peace and ensuring the safety of all residents as operations continue across the district.
