KCCA Finally Agree Terms With Zakho Over Ahimbisibwe Deal.

Uganda Premier League side KCCA FC have finally reached an agreement with Iraqi club Zakho SC over the transfer of striker Ivan Ahimbisibwe, Swift Sports Uganda understands.

Negotiations between the two clubs had initially stalled after they failed to agree on the transfer fee, with KCCA reportedly seeking an improved offer.

However, both parties have now reached a compromise, paving the way for the deal to be completed.

Ahimbisibwe is expected to be officially unveiled as a Zakho player later this week after the two clubs finalized the agreement.

The forward had already agreed personal terms with the Iraqi side, leaving only the official announcement pending.

Zakho Sport Club, based in Zakho in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, compete in the Iraq Stars League. The club, founded in 1987, plays its home matches at the 20,000-capacity Zakho International Stadium.

They finished ninth in the 2025/26 Iraq Stars League standings with 53 points from 38 matches.

Ahimbisibwe heads to Iraq after an impressive campaign in which he finished as the top scorer in the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League with 14 goals for KCCA FC.

The prolific striker also enjoyed an outstanding 2024/25 season while at URA FC, scoring 16 league goals to finish three behind Golden Boot winner Allan Okello.

Ahimbisibwe began his senior career at Synergy before spells with Nyamityobora FC, UPDF FC and URA FC, eventually joining KCCA. Tanzania Premier League outfit Azam FC had also shown interest in signing the forward before Zakho won the race for his signature
