Amus Finish 1st Round of Eastern Region League 10 Points Clear, Without Conceding a Goal.

Amus College Football Club have etched their name into the history books after becoming the first team in the history of the Eastern Region League to complete the first round without conceding a single goal — and sitting 10 points clear at the summit.

The remarkable achievement places Amus in a class of their own in Uganda’s third-tier men’s football competition.

They are also arguably the first Regional League side across Uganda to register such a defensive masterclass over an entire first-round campaign.

In the combined 12-team league format — featuring the top six sides from the Bukedi Group and the top six from the Nile Group — Amus were untouchable.

Their only blemish came in a goalless away draw against Eme United FC on 2nd December 2025. Beyond that, it was a flawless run of disciplined, clinical performances both home and away.

With 11 fixtures remaining in the regular season, Amus appear firmly on course for a place in the promotional playoffs to the FUFA Big League.

Mathematically, they require eight wins from their remaining matches to become uncatchable — a target that looks well within reach given their current momentum.

Speaking to Wabomba Sports, Assistant Coach Edgar Bwogi attributed the historic run to structure and collective belief:

“Our incredible first-round campaign comes down to discipline, unity, and a rock-solid defensive structure.

Staying 10 points clear while not conceding a single goal shows tactical maturity, strong leadership, and a team that works for each other every minute. This is not just talent — it’s preparation, focus, and belief.”
