Soroti Municipal Secondary School has recorded an impressive performance in the 2025 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) results, with all eighty candidates qualifying for university admission.

Speaking after the release of the results by the Uganda National Examinations Board, the school’s head teacher, Mboizi Rogers, said the institution produced three candidates with 18 points, Edau ben , Engoyo Paul and owuga Philip .
Rogers attributed the success to early academic preparation, noting that intensive teaching and facilitation began in the second term and continued through the third term.
“All the eighty candidates who sat the exams obtained at least two principal passes, which qualifies them for university,” he said.
He also announced a merit-based sponsorship scheme at A-Level, with 20 bursary slots still available for high-performing students joining the school.

One of the top performers, Ouga Philip, who studied Physics, Entrepreneurship and Mathematics (PEM), credited the school’s improved library, laboratory facilities and supportive teachers for the success. He hopes to pursue engineering at university.
School administrators noted that female students outperformed their male counterparts in the examinations
