Echodu David Calvin Rallies Supporters at Onyakai Primary School in Soroti City West
Soroti City West NRM parliamentary candidate and NRM National Vice Chairperson for the Eastern Region, Echodu David Calvin, has called on voters to support the National Resistance Movement (NRM) as a path toward transformation and development in Soroti City West.
Speaking at a well-attended campaign rally held at Onyakai Primary School in Amoru Ward Soroti city West division, Echodu was welcomed by massive crowds. He expressed gratitude to residents for their overwhelming support and commitment to the NRM party.
Echodu told the people of Amoru Ward that his current mission is to “plant NRM seeds” which, he said, will bear fruits that everyone will enjoy.
He noted that for a long time, the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has dominated politics in Soroti, but urged voters to consider giving NRM a chance in the coming elections.
He outlined plans to improve infrastructure, service delivery, and overall transformation in Soroti City West, emphasizing better roads, health services, education, and wealth creation initiatives.
Residents welcomed his message with optimism. Akol Mary, a resident of Onyakai in Amoru Ward, highlighted challenges facing the community, including unemployment among youth locally known as “Owoko Wok boys,” poor schools, limited access to electricity, and inadequate water supply.
“We want to vote Echodu and bring change because we have been suffering for a long time without help,” Akol said. “We appreciate him because he has programs for skilling and empowering us, improving roads, and strengthening healthcare. He told us he will emphasize wealth creation so that we can grow and develop.”
Another resident, Arianna Angel Ruth, also expressed confidence in Echodu’s leadership. She said residents believe he has the capacity to deliver meaningful development.
“He will work on roads and other services. People are ready to vote for Echodu because we believe he is a good man, well placed, and with the potential to deliver, unlike the current leaders who have done nothing,” she said.
Echodu is expected to continue his campaign activities today with another rally scheduled in Agora, Soroti City West, as he intensifies efforts to mobilize support ahead of the elections.
