By Lazima Wangadya.
Tororo District Khadi Shiekh Nooh Abdul Malik Koire has called on leaders and the Muslim community to embrace unity and reconciliation as a path toward the development of Tororo District.
The Khadi made the remarks today while addressing hundreds of Muslims gathered at Masjid Noor for Eid prayers.
He stressed that division among leaders slows progress and urged them to put aside differences and work together for the common good of the district.
Shiek Koire also cautioned Muslims against engaging in shirik acts such as witchcraft, as well as against drug abuse and alcoholism, saying these practices undermine both faith and community wellbeing.
He further urged the congregation to prioritize education and encouraged parents to enroll their children in Islamic-founded schools.
According to the Khadi, education combined with strong moral values is essential for raising responsible citizens and securing the future of the community.
